Privacy, terms & cookies
The short, honest version of how Cherise works, last updated August 2026.
Privacy Policy
Cherise ("we") collects only what we need to run your skin analysis and deliver your orders:
- Consultation answers (skin type, concerns, city, habits), used to build your skin profile and recommendations.
- Photos you take (your face scans, and the photos of products you add to your shelf): used to assess visible skin concerns, to compare your skin from one scan to the next, and to keep making the analysis more accurate. They are private to your account, stored so they follow you to a new phone, and nobody else can open them. Never shared, never sold. We keep them until you delete them.
- Contact details (email, phone), used for your account, order updates, and, if you opt in, our newsletter.
- Delivery details (country, city, the phone number you give us) so an order can reach you. We do not ask for or store a GPS location.
- Payments: card payments are handled by Stripe and mobile money by PayUnit, on their own screens. Cherise never receives your card number or your mobile money PIN. We keep the order, the amount and whether it was paid.
- Your Cherise app stores your profile and settings on your own phone, and keeps your skin readings, routine and check-ins on your account so they follow you to a new phone.
We never sell personal data and we do not run advertising or tracking. Your account and your skin readings are stored with Supabase; payments are processed by Stripe and PayUnit; skin photos are analyzed by Anthropic's Claude. Each of them sees only what it needs to do its job.
Deleting your account. In the Cherise app, open Settings and choose Delete my account. That erases your profile, your skin readings, your shelf, and every photo you have given us, both face scans and product photos. You can also write to hello@cherisebeauty.com and we will do it for you. Order records are kept only as long as accounting rules require.
Terms of Use
- Cherise provides cosmetic skin-type and concern matching for product recommendations. It is not medical or dermatological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For skin health concerns, consult a dermatologist.
- Your first skin analysis is free. Paid subscriptions (Starter, Premium) renew monthly and can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the billing period.
- Products are sold separately from subscriptions. Delivery currently covers Cameroon: 1 to 2 days in Douala, 2 to 3 days in other cities; you'll be informed of any delay.
- Results shown on the site (including before/after visuals) are illustrative; individual results vary with skin, consistency and time.
